Sigh.

Don't know if it had a corpus or if it was an empty cross.Elephantschildhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14610471467736150461noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7726934942793954047.post-7360722224417420622008-04-20T18:15:00.000-07:002008-04-20T18:15:00.000-07:00Side note: What do you mean by "Reformed?" You look a little like a friend of ours: likes beer, answers to Marty...

Anyway, both Rome and the Reformed believe that you do something to contribute toward your own salvation. In terms of work-righteousness, broadly speaking, they aren't that far apart. Hence, any move toward Reformed doctrine and practice is a move toward doing something toward your own salvation, which is a move toward Rome.

Granted, the empty cross is not the best example of this, but it's something that pisses us off to no end for the reasons included in the original post.Angry Lutheranshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03540086484205755001noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7726934942793954047.post-60091084035378349822008-04-19T07:19:00.000-07:002008-04-19T07:19:00.000-07:00You make many *excellent* points. I honestly don't get that part.Anonymous Lutheranhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13146153012785131550noreply@blogger.com
